Announcement – No Hockey Program for the 2020-2021 seasons
It’s with much sadness and regret that Strathroy Caradoc Youth Hockey has made the decision to not run its hockey program for the 2020-21 season.
With the expectation of a 2nd wave of this Covid19 in the fall, Plus, all the restrictions and precautions for safety that must be put in place, it is just too much responsibly to place on the organization and volunteers .
To name a few; smaller teams, approximately half of last year’s capacity, less players with the same ice costs will cause difficulty in financially meeting our obligations, less ice time as there has to be 15 minutes between games to allow for disinfecting benches and dressing room, no showers, restricted use of dressing rooms, additional administration as we monitor who is present at each game, parents, players, referees, etc. To allow us to contact all who may have been exposed if anyone contracts this virus and then request all who were exposed to self isolate for 14 days.
We do plan to resume the program again in 2021-22 seasons. For any Group D players that would have aged out in this 2020-21 season we will be considering letting you play your last season in 2021-2022.
Wishing you all stay safe and healthy in these strange times.
Looking forward to seeing you all for the 2021-2022 season

Equipment drop off is to go to Sports Excellence

DEAR PLAYERS AND FAMILIES,
It is with deep regret, that as an organization, Strathroy Caradoc Youth Hockey has decided to follow the
protocols of the World Health Organization to contain this pandemic and follow suit by cancelling all

I hope that everyone has had a fun season, even with this cancellation of the last 3 games and we will
look forward to the 2020/2021 season. Have a great summer.

Sincerely,
Heather Langdon
